Oh September, lovely cool September! A great time of renewal, it almost feels like the new year, with hopes of getting back on track and back on a regular schedule.  This is particularly true for us Realtors, who keep a fairly flexible schedule, so tend to be the ones carting the kids all summer long!  It's also generally a little bit slower in the marketplace, with both Buyers and Sellers on holidays, company shutdowns and generally just a great time to enjoy some great weather.

If you're one of the lucky parents like my husband and I, who are bidding fairwell to our 18 year old as he goes off on his new adventure to University residence, this can be a time of great excitement, but also some trepidation.  Letting go and realizing they are old enough to make their own choices is hard, maybe more for us moms, who have always been the ones to take care of the little details (do you have enough money, is your prescription renewed, is the bed comfortable enough?). I thought I had prepared myself for this day, and didn't expect the emotions to be so strong. Hopefully you're like me and have to keep reminding your son or daughter that the cell phone you've provided is to keep in touch with you! Right Mom, in another life!

Hopefully October will be easier!
